Sporting colorful and pristine walls and filled with marine life, the coral reef systems on the eastern shore of the island are must-see. Beginners and advanced divers alike love these systems with their various depths, like The Plateau with mounds of corals undercut by ledges and The Devils Backbone off the coast of Spanish Wells with several shipwrecks.

Snorkeling and Scuba

Ocean Fox’s Eco-Snorkel Dives allow for close encounters with local marine life in shallow, protected waters – perfect for non-certified divers. Swim with turtles, starfish, and tropical fish all in 1-2 meters of water and just 10-15 minutes from the dock. You can also book an excursion to go Swimming with Pigs, approximately 35 minutes from the dock.

You can also participate in Discover Scuba, dive courses available at Romora Bay run through Ocean Fox. The dive and snorkel boat accommodates up to 12 guests, and all trips include masks, fins, snorkel gear, bottled water and, of course, a captain. For the ultimate experience, try the ¾ Day Package – visit the best of the snorkel sites, Devil’s Backbone, Swimming with Pigs, and then a stop in Spanish Wells for an amazing lunch by the sea.

Ocean Fox Fishing knows all the best spots for deep-sea fishing, Find marlin, dolphin, tuna, wahoo, and mahi mahi as close as 15 minutes from the dock. Board Old Dog—their custom 35-foot Express Sportfish—and spend a full or half-day fishing. They provide the bait, tackle, cold drinks, captain, and fish cleaning, and they also take you directly to Sunsets Restaurant for a professionally prepared “Cook Your Catch” dinner.

Fisherman’s Dock—The Big Catch Awaits

Purchase the day’s catch or congregate in the recreation building at the foot of the dock to talk about the big one that got away with other fishing enthusiasts. This haven is the place to be for cookouts, fishing chat, and souse on the weekends.
